If hunting deer leave the Bucks alone as there are usually many does to each
buck.  You need meat, not trophys. You do not want to wipe out a herd or your
meat source may be gone. Deer usually live out their entire lives in a one
square mile area of where they are born, unless forced out by predators or
hunger. So managing a meat supply is easier than you may first think.  One
deer will last a LONG time if properly butchered, prepared and stored.  If
you dont know how to do these things... you better learn now.  Find a herd
and make sure there is ample food for them through the winter.  store up some
of the free deer food through the summer and distribute it through the
winter... done on a regular basis in the same spot, the herd will come to YOU
for harvesting.
